Connect your Outlook Email to your Device


Students

Android Phone or Tablet

To connect your email to an Android device:

  1. Open the Outlook app on your device. If this is your first time, swipe through the intro.
  2. Tap Settings > Add Account> Add Email Account.
  3. On the Add Account page, enter your email address and tap Continue.
  4. Enter in your password.
  5. If prompted, your Server address is outlook.office365.com.

In most cases, Outlook will automatically detect your email provider and configure your account for you.

iPhone or iPad

To connect your email to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch device:

  1. Open Outlook for iOS.
  2. Tap Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account.
  3. Enter your email address and tap Add Account.
  4. If you're asked to select your email provider, choose Office 365.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. If prompted, your Server address is outlook.office365.com.
  7. Outlook may request access to your calendar, contacts, etc. If you'd like to sync these to your mobile device, agree to give permission.
  8. Follow any additional prompts.
  9. Begin using your Outlook for iOS app.

BlackBerry 10

To connect your email to a Blackberry device, set up your account using Exchange ActiveSync. Exchange ActiveSync lets you synchronize email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and memos with your account. In most cases, your device will set up your account in just a few simple steps.

  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. On the System Settings page, select Accounts.
  3. If you haven't yet created any accounts, select Add Account.
  4. On the Add Account page, select Email, Calendar, and Contacts.
  5. Enter your email address and select Next.
  6. Enter your password and select Next.
  7. The Looking up connection information message displays. Your device will try to set up your email account automatically.
  8. If it finds your connection information, select all the information you want to synchronize with your account, and select Done. You will see your account listed on the Accounts list. Go to the BlackBerry Hub to access your email account.
  9. If it can't set find your connection information, you'll see a message recommending that you use advanced setup steps. If this is the case, see the next steps.
  10. On the BlackBerry 10 home screen, select Settings.
  11. On the System Settings page, select Accounts. If you haven't yet created any accounts, select Add Account.
  12. To get to advanced setup, on the Add Account page, select Email, Calendar, and Contacts. Then, select the menu icon beneath the Email Address box to access advanced setup options.
  13. On the Advanced Setup page, select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  14. Enter the settings for your account as follows. If you had just tried the previous procedure, some of these settings may already be entered for you.
  15. In Description, give your account a name.
  16. Leave the Domain field blank.
  17. In Email Address, type your full email address.
  18. In Username, type your full email address.
  19. In Password, type your password.
  20. In Server address, if you are using Office 365, type outlook.office365.com.
  21. Select Next. The Checking for supported services and policy information message displays.
  22. On the next page, specify the information you want to sync, and then select Done. The Saving and verifying your settings message displays.
  23. If your account was set up, you will see your account listed on the Accounts list.
  24. Go to the BlackBerry Hub to access your email account.
  25. If you see the message that your account cannot be authenticated with your service provider, click OK, click Previous, and then verify that your settings are correct.

Windows Phone or a Windows 10 mobile device

To connect your email to a Windows phone or mobile device:

  1. The first time you open the Mail app, you’ll see a Welcome page. Choose Add account there to get started.
  2. Otherwise, at the bottom of the left navigation pane, choose Settings > Manage Accounts > Add account.
  3. Note: On a phone or tablet, choose the three dots at the bottom of the page to access Settings.
  4. Choose Office 365 as the type of the account.
  5. Enter your email address and password.
  6. Choose Sign in.
  7. If you receive the message “We couldn’t find info for that account. Make sure that the email address is correct and then try again,” you’ll need to choose Try again three times before the button changes to Advanced. Choose Advanced and follow the steps in the here to add your account. 
  8. Choose Done. Your data will start syncing as soon as your account is set up.
  9. Note: It may take a few minutes for your account to synchronize. During this time, you may see Not synced yet in the message pane. If this message persists, see Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10.

Faculty & Staff

Android Phone or Tablet

To connect your email to an Android please complete the following steps:

  1. Locate and Open the Settings App or your Outlook App (if using the Outlook App, skip to #4).
  2. Click + Add Account under the ACCOUNTS heading.
  3. Click Corporate/Outlook/Exchange/ActiveSync.
  4. Enter your Employee E-mail address in the Email address field.
  5. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  6.  Click Next.
  7. Enter conestogac.on.ca in the Domain Field.
  8. Enter outlook.conestogac.on.ca in the Server field.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Review and Customize Account Options.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Optional: Enter a name for your account.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Click Activate.
  16. Check your Email app for your Employee E-mail. 

PLEASE NOTE:   Android Instructions were written using a Nexus Tablet running Jelly Bean version 4.2 and may vary based on device make/model, OS version, and Service Provider.

iPhone or iPad

To connect your Email​ to an iPhone or iPad please complete the following steps:

  1. Locate and Open the Settings app, or download and open the Outlook app (if using the Outlook App, skip to #5).
  2. Click Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Click Add Account…
  4. Click Microsoft Exchange and skip to step 8.
  5. Enter your E-mail address in the Email field.
  6. At the top right, click Not Office 365?
  7. Change Account Provider.
  8. Click Exchange.
  9. Enter your Password in the Password field.
  10. Optional: Enter a description for your E-mail address in the Description field.
  11. Click Next.
  12. If the process succeeds, skip to step 14.  If the process fails, continue to step 10.
  13. Enter outlook.conestogac.on.ca in the Server field.
  14. Enter conestogac.on.ca in the Domain field.
  15. Enter your Condor ID in the Username field. Click Done or Sign in.
  16. Review and Customize Account Options.
  17. Click Save.

BlackBerry 10

To connect your E-mail to a BlackBerry 10 device please complete the following steps:

  1. Locate and open the Setup App.
  2. Click Accounts.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Click Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  5. Optional: Enter a description of the account in the description field.
  6. Enter conestogac.on.ca in the Domain field.
  7. Enter your Condor ID in the Username field.
  8. Enter your Employee E-mail address in the Email Address field.
  9. Enter your Password in the Password field. 
  10. Enter outlook.conestogac.on.ca in the Server Address field.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Review and customize account options.
  13. Click Done

Windows Phone 8

Currently you are unable to connect your Employee E-mail to a Windows Phone 8 device.  We are working on this issue and will provide instructions as soon as possible. ​
