Your Compute Hardware

The standard computer currently being installed in labs is an i5-2400s, 8GB memory, 500GB Hard Drive PC, running Windows 7. Some stations and desks may have an older model of PC.

Requesting Additional Hardware If you are having trouble with your computer, or need additional hardware, like a webcam or headset, please contact the IT Service Desk.​

Your Desktop Computers Software

To locate the software on your computer, it may appear along the bottom of your screen in your Task bar. If it does not, open your Start menu. Here, you can use the Search box to search for the name of the particular software you are looking for, or look through the list of All Programs.

Instant Messaging and Video Conferencing

  • Skype for Business

We use Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) to instant message (chat) and video conference among faculty and staff. Lync can be used for hosting remote guests in your classroom.   • GoTo Meeting

For participant audiences greater than 25, we use GoToMeeting or GoToTraining, a video conferencing software.​ It allows you to have up to 250 participants actively connecting to your video conference. This software will not appear in your start menu.Check out our support page to get started using GoToMeeting/GoToTraining.   • YuJa Software

Active Learning Platform that delivers a more collaborative and engaged learning enviroenment. YuJa enables instructional delivery models that blend lecture capture, live broadcasting, media management, video classrooms and social and mobile learning into a rich educational experience.
